Dog Spay/Neuter Clinic
HSHA now provides an in-house dog spay/neuter clinic at our shelter.  Cost is $70 for neuters and $85 for spays.  Proof of vaccinations must be provided.  If proof of vaccination is not provided, vaccines will be administered by HSHA for an additional $10 each.  It is strongly recommended that your dog has the bordatella vaccine PRIOR to coming to the clinic.  However, if your dog does not have this vaccine and you wish for it to be administered, HSHA can do so for $10.  Due to health and safety reasons, pets must be 7 years or younger.

On the day of your appointment, your dog can be dropped off at HSHA between 9-10am.  Dogs should be picked up between 4:30-6:30pm the same day.  Any dog scheduled for surgery should not be fed after midnight the night before surgery (water is fine).

Microchips may also be administered for $25 upon request.

To schedule an appointment, please call 564-3320 and follow the prompts.  Leave your name, phone number, desired clinic day, and whether the dog needs to be spayed (female) or neutered (male).  You may also schedule an appointment by emailing Kristy Shelly at kristys@humanesocietyhbg.org.

Cat Spay/Neuter Clinic
HSHA provides an in-house general cat spay/neuter clinic at our shelter for both owned and feral cats.  Cost is $40 for neuters and $60 for spays.  Cats for surgery should be a minimum of 4-5 months of age, and proof of vaccinations (rabies and distemper combination) must be provided.  If proof of vaccination is not provided, vaccines will be administered by HSHA for an additional $10.  Due to health and safety reasons, pets must be 7 or younger.

On the day of your appointment, your cat can be dropped off at HSHA between 8:30-9am.  Cats should be picked up between 4:00-6:30pm the same day.  Any cat scheduled for surgery should not be fed after midnight the night before surgery (water is fine). Cats coming for surgery will be returned to the carrier they came in – a humane trap or plastic carrier.  Cats should not be brought in cardboard carriers.

To schedule an appointment, please call 564-3320 and follow the prompts.  Leave your name, phone number, desired clinic day, and whether the cat needs to be spayed (female) or neutered (male).  You may also schedule an appointment by emailing Kristy Shelly at kristys@humanesocietyhbg.org.
