The Humane Society of Harrisburg Area's (HSHA) 19th Annual 5K Run/Walk for the Animals will be held at Wildwood Park and Olewine Nature Center in Harrisburg on May 7. This family and dog friendly event has something for everyone, and all proceeds benefit the more than 500 homeless pets at the Humane Society of Harrisburg Area. IN HONOR OF YARD SIGNS:
Does your pet display unconditional love? Is your pet your best friend? Or are you grieving the recent loss of a pet? At this year’s 5K Walk/Run for the Animals participants will once again have the opportunity to honor their pet by purchasing a yard sign that will be displayed along the course. Consider sending in a picture (non-returnable) of your beloved pet to be displayed on the sign as well. For only $10 display the name of your furry family member(s). Signs can be pre-purchased or bought the day of the event at registration.
Last year a record breaking total of $39,665.61 was raised through the event. So, we are geared up for an even better 5K in 2016 with more vendors, new activities, and exciting entertainment. Stay tuned for further details.
