The Humane Society of Harrisburg Area (HSHA) will be holding the 18th Annual 5K Run/Walk for the Animals at Wildwood Park and Olewine Nature Center in Harrisburg. The event will take place on May 2, 2015.

This family-friendly event is one of HSHA’s largest fundraisers, attracting more than 350 participants of various demographics from across Central Pennsylvania. We are encouraging corporations/businesses to show their support by forming teams to fundraise and participate in the 5K Run/Walk for the Animals. This gives both the corporation/business and its employees the opportunity to give back to the community and support a worthy cause. The funds raised by each team will go directly to the care of the over 800 pets currently residing at our shelter waiting for their forever homes. T-shirts are given to each participant that raises $75 or more. You are more than welcome to bring your dogs along to enjoy the event. There will be food, vendors, team pictures and medals for our top runners.
