Glove Drive Campaign

Each February, HSHA conducts our ANNUAL GLOVE DRIVE.  Wearing and properly changing gloves dramatically reduces the spread of life-threatening diseases in a shelter environment.  We use roughly 300,000 latex, vinyl, or nitrile gloves to clean, medicate, and care for thousands of animals that come to our shelter from Dauphin, Cumberland, and Perry counties every year.

There are three (3) ways you can show your love for homeless pets right here in our area by supporting the HSHA GLOVE DRIVE:

  1. Drop off gloves at our shelter.
  2. Order gloves through Amazon.
  3. Give a monetary donation directly to the HSHA GLOVE DRIVE online.

We know this year is different and it may be harder for you to donate. We appreciate the support you have given us in years past, and, if you cannot donate this year, we certainly understand; please consider sharing our Glove Drive with colleagues, family and friends via social media.

*Please note we are especially in need of sizes medium and large!

**Please note: As of January 18, 2017 the FDA is banning the use of powdered surgical and exam gloves. Henry Schein states that: Healthcare providers and facilities are required to adhere to federal and state regulations, including the Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards. Therefore, HSHA will not be able to accept any powdered surgical or exam gloves.**
