Workplace Giving
Do you work for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania or the federal government? If so, consider donating to HSHA through the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) or the State Employees Combined Appeal (SECA). HSHA’s codes are 4401 0063 (SECA) and 77697 (CFC).
Also, many employers will match contributions made to charitable organizations. Check with your human resources office about matching programs.
Circle of Friends
The Humane Society of Harrisburg Area (HSHA) has created a group for our most passionate supporters, “HSHA Circle of Friends”! Your subscription to HSHA Circle of Friends helps HSHA continue to expand the programs and services at out shelter. Friends receive our bi-annual newsletter, E-news, an HSHA limited edition gift, and valuable savings on adoptions and tickets to the annual black tie Fur Ball Gala & Auction. To join HSHA Circle of Friends, simply complete and return the registration form with the $75 subscription fee.
Planned Giving
Pet lovers understand stewardship better than most. They know that no matter what else is happening in their lives, our pets will always be there for us. One way pet lovers can make sure they are also there for needy pets long into the future is through planned giving.
One of the easiest ways to support the Humane Society through planned giving is by remembering HSHA in your will. You can designate a specific dollar amount, leave a share of your estate, will a bank account, or leave stock. Simply contact your attorney to include HSHA in your will. Other examples of planned giving include donations through life insurance policies, trusts, annuities and estates.
Guardian Angel
The Humane Society's Guardian Angel program was designed to give the animal of your choice an increased opportunity at adoption. Fifty percent of the money you donate will be applied toward the adoption fee of the animal you select, reducing the price for a prospective adopter. The remaining 50% will be applied directly toward the care of this animal while in our shelter. Download the Guardian Angel form here.
Kennel Sponsorships
Sponsoring a kennel at HSHA is a great way to show your support! Sponsorships are on a yearly basis and are renewable. Each kennel sponsor receives an acknowledgement plaque on their kennel. Sponsor a kennel and show your love for the animals! Download a kennel sponsorship form here.
Memorial Donations
There are many reasons to make donations to a worthy cause. Many people donate in memory of a loved one who lived with a true passion for animals. By making a donation to HSHA in honor or memory of a friend or loved one, you know your donation will go to support the homeless animals of Central Pennsylvania.
